Alexander G. Menaker

Archaeologist, anthropologist and ethnohistorian with research experience and collaborations across the Americas. Co-director of a multidisciplinary and community engaged project in the Peruvian Andes investigating the archaeological history of Andagua, the Valley of Volcanoes, spanning from early human settlements through Inka expansion and Spanish colonialism to the recent past. Experience across academic and professional sectors, serving as Principal Investigator and Senior Archaeologist in Cultural Resource Management, leading projects across Oklahoma and Texas, including an award winning archaeological study of a 19th century blacksmith shop in Texas belonging to Tom Cook, an African American freedman.
